13 Things I Want To Do With My Kids This Christmas Season1. Make a gingerbread house.
2. Paint ceramic Christmas ornaments for our tree and read Jesus, Me, and My Christmas Tree (by Crystal Bowman).
3. Watch the Polar Express while drinking hot chocolate...we will also read the book. I actually would love to have a Christmas movie marathon day. Could I sit that long? Probably! Could my children? I'm not so sure. ;-)
4. Allow each child to pick out a toy (with guidance) to give to Toys for Tots.
5. Have a slumber party in front of the Christmas tree with Christmas music playing.
6. Talk about angels and make one out of our handprints and footprints.
7. Go around being invisible angels to our friends and family, as well as some strangers.
8. Bake yummy banana bread and talk together about how Jesus called Himself the "Bread of Life."
9. Make birdseed wreaths to hang in our trees outside.
10. Drive through the Festival of Lights Holiday Light Show, and drive around to see decorated homes.
11. Make homemade Christmas cards for their teachers.
12. Do our advent calendars daily. We have a family one that is magnetic and each day tells a story about the piece inside. Also, each child has their own that they can get a piece of candy out of each day.
13. Go to church on Christmas Eve.
