First Day Of School!!!

Back To School

by Unknown

Today I hurry off to school,

To work and learn and play.

I'm in a brand new grade this year.

What a happy day!

I must say it is a happy day for mom too. I know, I know! Most moms cry and say they are just so sad that summer is over. Not me! I have always loved the start of the school year, which is probably one reason I went to school to be a teacher.

I love the new supplies, getting back to a structured schedule, and the start of extracurricular activities. I also love that television shows are coming off of hiatus, and my favorite holidays are just around the corner. This day, not September 23rd, marks the start of fall for me.

It's a wonderful day!! I am blessed to have a child in 3rd grade and 1st grade this year. I pray they learn a lot, listen to and behave for their teachers, and make wonderful, life-long friends.

I Love You, Mom!

Since you don't want me to bake you a real cake, here is a virtual one for you...

I hope you enjoy your day!
Now, come on over so I can give you a hug. ;-)

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Music is an essential thing in life.

2.Pepsi is what I like first thing in the morning. It helps wake me up. ;-)

3. The first thing I said this morning was: "Why are you whining?". Meghan was driving me nuts by whining in my ear as we snuggled.

4. Pork Chops, Potato Patties and Applesauce; it's what's for dinner tonight.

5. It's all been a whirlwind, this crazy thing called life. ;-)

6. Running away to a deserted island is what I feel like doing right now. That is because Meghan won't quit whining. Ugh, it is going to be a long day!!!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging at home with my family, tomorrow my plans include taking the kids to a Drive-In Theater and Sunday, I want to go to church, chill at home a bit, and then go out to a movie with my friends!

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Life is filled with ups and downs, but we don't have to endure those alone. God is with us!

2. If you fail, keep going. Never give up!

3. My last text message (or IM) ended in these three words: _____. Frankly, I have no clue! I rarely text, and I am actually giving up my cell phone when my contract expires. It is all in an attempt to simplify my life. :-)

4.Chicken and Dumplings is what I'm thinking about for dinner sometime soon.

5. On the 1st day of August I was finishing up my Walk To Emmaus weekend. Spending 72 hours with Jesus and His disciples is absolutely wonderful!

6. Right now I don't feel lively and energetic. I think the words lethargic and exhausted describe me much better.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to resting, tomorrow my plans include more resting (Can you tell I'm not feeling the best?) and Sunday, I want to teach the 2nd graders at church and have a cookout with my family!
